The English like to watch executions

That is what we learned today at The Tower of London. They also had some petty gruesome ways to killing. It took one drunk executioner 5 tries to get his guys head off. Gross. We also learned our Beefeater tour guide isn't just a history buff but they have to have 22 years service of good conduct service in the military before they can actually work at the tower. They also live on the grounds with their partners. Gave his tour a little heft. Off to the Tate modern next to see some art and do more learning.
